The dog who came
from a dream

"If we can't buy a dog, I'll dream one!"

Too many mouths to feed already — so one night, lying in bed, James squeezed his eyes shut and imagined the loveliest little dog in all of Liverpool: a funny dog with big ears, bright eyes and a waggy bottom. Then came a tiny snuffle… and there was Peanut, sitting right on his bed. "He is real in my dream," said James, "and that's good enough for me!"
